Daweism is correct, one caveat, you have to call the Techline to register the warranty.

"3yr/36k mile Ford Performance warranty from new vehicle in-service when installed by a Ford dealer or ASE/Red Seal certified technician. Please contact the Ford Performance Parts Techline for warranty registration. "

The warranty is submitted online through FP. The Ford dealership must honor it, they won't even be able to see who did the install, just that FP had given you the warranty.

Did you get your RR? I think we ordered about the same time and mine is scheduled for delivery at the end of the month. To wait 7 months to get a vehicle is beyond ridiculous! For customers that wait that long at least they could do is expedite shipping. Mine stated shipped on 4,25.25... crazy. I hope it's worth the wait!

Yes sir, got mine last Monday. Already threw new wheels and tint on it. Waiting a few more miles beside the FP tune. My first order from Jan just received a build date in mid July lol. The one I picked up was ordered in Feb. Go figure.

I ran into that also. I ordered installation with the tuner. Call the dealers found in the drop down box. I found one who honored the install price.

You are missing the important point I made, I don't want to go to ANY Ford dealership who will take ANY jobe for income. I want a dealership who has DONE THE INSTALL ALREADY so there are NO PROBLEMS!

Call Ford customer service and tell them you bought a Genuine FORD factory part and they won't install it. They will ask what dealer are you having a problem with and they will make the appointment for you.

I am now waiting for a supervisor 20 hours later to call me.

I've purchased far more motorcycles than cars/trucks. I've learned over the decades that dealerships are effectively useless once you buy a vehicle. I only use them for necessary recall work. I don't even order parts from them.

If you're ever lucky enough to find a good and competent mechanic/service department, treat them like royalty. Because they are as rare as unicorns.

I know that but am new in the area so I thought being 'loyal" to Ford and it's dealers would be the right way to go especially if anything went wrong. I have had "more leverage" being that a Ford dealer installed their part.

When I went to my Ford dealers service department, they said, "install a what?" Then took me to the parts department and the alleged parts manager that is knowledgeable had to look it up. I saw his screen and it was the same web site that I ordered from! Then they try to tell me they would charge 2 hrs labor since they have never done anything like this.

I ordered it without installation and did it myself in about 30 minutes.

No, I had same concerns. The dealer i went to is experienced installing the tune.

Yes I know it is just a "PLUG IN" and let the Tuner do it's thing, BUT you have no warrantee if done yourself! (I could easily do it but don't take such risks anymore...

The real joke is if you choose a dealer and prepay on the Ford Accessory website the dealer can refuse the paid labor rate you just paid if their labor rate is higher!!!!
