I have a question regarding cold air intakes and filter as I see you made some power out of the s&b would swapping the cross over pipe from process west and using a aftermarket high flow filter(k&N etc) do the same? I see the pw pipe is 3.5 but would still use the stock box that I would assume has some restrictions although when I looked at the s&b kit the crossover pipe looks to be the same as oem size and style. would that cross over pipe with aftermarket filter be worth it ?

this is where I’m at. I’d like more flow without sacrificing moisture and dust ingress. I’m looking at the 3.5” crossover from stock airbox, unless new products hit the market.

I spoke with EMS tuning and they did dyno runs stock air box vs big name brand cold air said there was little to no difference besides sound for power gains todays intakes on most modern cars and trucks are already cold air intakes. Biggest gains thing will gain you power fuel systems, bigger turbos, intercoolers, free flowing exhaust.

Exactly! The limiting factor is the opening to the airbox. All these supposed gains with aftermarket CAI's is due to the additional opening they have on the top. That might offer gains in dyno testing with the hood open and a couple of leaf blowers directing cooler air towards the truck.
With the hood closed in hot/warm weather those gains are nil.

Stainless steel has the least amount of restriction. I've ran these filters on all my turbo cars and they absolutely make a difference over stock OEM. I agree though that all these aftermarket CAI show little if any gains. The RR already has a good CAI. Just change the stock AF out for a high flow type and save money. Powetech is the stainless.

Before I ask this question I have spent a hour or more searching and trying to see how to buy one of these air filters in the USA. But now I have given up, who sells this brand in the USA? I have found the motorcycle air filters but not the HS-1033 for the Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can order direct from them and they will ship to the USA. Send them an email

Hs-1034 is the stainless one and Hs-1033 is the cloth one.
