Auto Start/Stop not working, Vehicle Charging

So, this is just a bit of info I experienced today. For the last 5 days, Auto Stop/Start stopped working.I looked at the info for Auto Start/Stop during a Stop and it said "Vehicle Charging".
I took my 2024 Ranger XLT to Ford for them to check the battery. The battery failed. They replaced the battery and verified the repair.

So, for those of you like me that actually use the Auto Stop/Start, if it stops working and you get the message "...Vehicle Charging" take your Ranger to Ford and get a new Battery.

Ford had a recall on batteries for some of their other vehicles around 227,000 of them. Didn't include Ranger's but maybe it should have.

Batteries are horrible right now my 2024 Ranger keeps shutting my ford pass down to low of charge it goes in to deep sleep mode my 2023 Edge ST doing same thing.

I remember when the battery on my '91 Ranger lasted 11 years. It looks like there are too many parasitic draws on the new vehicles that the battery can't cope.

There is an adapter you can buy to make it default to the off position. I love it!

I wonder how long did your battery last?

It seems my stop/start started being intermittent. When it worked, I just shut it off because I wasn't a fan. Now, it doesn't work at all. I'm good with that.

Okay, stop/start does not stop while using heat or ac. I think there may be another condition where it doesn't stop. This explains the intermittent operation.

In sport mode it shuts off.

Mine did the other day it stopped for about 20 seconds or so and it was really cold out -15C and the heat was on full. It has only did it a couple times this winter. I was like WTF

I've got a 24 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4 and had the same problem. Took it to Ford dealership battery was being drained by rat deterrent device I hooked up to prevent rats from building a nest in the engine bay. Disconnected it and solved the problem
Seems with all the electronics a small drain on battery can effect the system
