So I’ve got a strange issue that developed today. My audio volume and controls worked fine this morning. However, when I started my 2024 Ranger Raptor this afternoon to jump on a call, I had no audio. Even more strange, the volume buttons on the steering wheel and the volume knob in the center console don’t work. I tried multiple soft resets of the Sync system, a factory reset, and disconnected the battery for an hour with no luck. I also checked the #32 ACM fuse in the cabin (which was good). The only time I have any audio volume is when the engine is shut off by the Start/Stop system. When the engine is off at a stop light for instance, the volume buttons and knob all work too. The moment the starter engages, and the engine fires, all audio is gone, and the audio controls no longer function. I’ll be calling the dealer tomorrow but I figure I’d check here if anyone has tried anything else. My truck is my mobile office and I’m really hamstrung without it lol. First world problems I know… thanks everyone!

Wow, I have never heard of the issue you have on any forum. I would say it's probably going to need the dealer to fix that

Now I have no idea what could be causing this but I'll throw this out. You mention it work when the auto/stop is used. Now I now for example that auto/stop eliminators plug into the gateway module. Perhaps this module or a connection to is at fault?

Its non functional on all sources unfortunately, including CarPlay. Its heading to the dealer next Wednesday if I can’t figure it out beforehand.

My only suggestion would be to check the plug at the amp which is located behind the rear seat on the driver's side. In my 2025 RR, I started having intermittent audio and I unpluged the connector, rotated it a couple of times, and plugged in back in making sure that it was fully connected. Since then, I have not experienced any more problems. Hope this helps. Please keep us posted.
