Has anyone purchased this Tonneau cover? I bought this and am having issues with the latching on side, I have to push the rail up to get the latch to secure. It also is leaking quite a bit more than I expected down the entire side on both sides.

Just curious if anyone else has had similar problems and were able to solve them

I have one on my 2024. I had a similar issue which turned out to be one of the rails was not flush.

Because the rail was defective or did you just have to reinstall?

Same cover, same problem. Installed a couple of weeks ago, I could not get the first latches close to the window to lock for nothing. I got the second row to lock by pushing the top and rail together. The rear did lock. Yesterday, after settling for a couple of weeks I got the whole thing to lock but I still have to push them together. My sides leak really bad too. I'm not happy at all with it at the moment. I'll try messing with it this week. I've been busy with other mods. I have a Bakflip on my 19 Ram and it was great at first but after about 4 years the powercoat started peeling off and all the rubber started cracking. I wouldn't have purchased another but this was supposed be to be new and improved. I hope I can re-align it to lock easy and stop leaking. We'll see.

Yeah I'm not too happy with it at the moment. I jacked around with mine for a few hours yesterday trying to get it to align with no luck. I even emailed Bakflip to ask them if there were any solutions. Hopefully hear from them this week

I installed this cover last year. It was a bit of a pain. Don't overtighten the rails on the sides, this causes them to bow down making the cover latches hard to engage. I loosened things up a bit, did some adjusting until everything settled, then snugged it all up again.

I later installed a tailgate seal and have almost zero leaking. Took a 500 mile trip in the rain in Dec and had a trace of moisture in the bed in the lower corners of the tailgate.

Pretty happy with the cover so far.

Which tailgate seal?

Thanks for the advice. I loosened the rails up today and pushed up on the inner part while pushing down on the upper bed cap part then I tightened it back up just snug and that seemed to help with the alignment. I didn't check for leaks yet.

Long story short, reinstalled. As I recall one of the clips wasn’t fully seated which skewed the upstream clip. Once I reinstalled it everything fit well.

long story - I bought the product via Amazon. It arrived and it was obvious it was a returned product and missing seals. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a seal package no charge. Kudos to them. I contacted Amazon and they refunded me 33%. Meh to them.

I ordered the Bakflip early on, I think it was the 2 and it was not correctly made so it went back and I went another route! The panels were not thick enough to fill the rails they were put in. A gap existed on both sides! Not a flat surface. I had one on my F150 why I tried them.

I see so many threads on the backflip and issues with it. When I first bought my truck I was attracted to the cover myself but after reading reviews and what not, I was suprised of the QC/inconsistency they had.
Then I found diamond back covers. Yes they are not as easy to fully get off but it only takes 5 mins. Less time if you leave the center piece clamped. Otherwise, you have 4 C clamps and thats it. The security of them and the ability to tow atop of the cover makes them a win/win for me.

It's official, I just exchanged this leaky POS! Unfortunately I threw out the box so I can't straight up return it. I got a return started with Amazon and I ordered another hoping that one doesn't pour water inside my bed like this one. I'll use that new box for the return. I got this one aligned so the sections lock down but it leaks soooo bad! I have a TPU bed liner inside that makes it worse because that doesn't have any drains like the actual bed does so my stuff in the bed will just marinate in a puddle 1" deep if I leave the liner in. If the new one leaks I'm putting this company on blast and they lost a repeat customer. "New and improved" my ass. At least the Bakflip on my 19 truck held up for over 4 years before the rubber started to crack and leak.

Yeah I gave up. Mine is locking a bit better after adjusting the clamps but I still have to push up on the rails to make it work. Just not as much.

I haven’t checked the leaking again yet, it rained the other day and I forgot to give it a look.

too much of a pain for me to return so I’m just stuck with it.
