Some o you seen my last post about the Lane Assist feature not working. Still can't figure that our as some state it works one way some another. However, I know realized that even my drive mode selector rotary knob does NOT select any modes at all. No warning, no display, simply does not work. The traction control button, nope, nothing displays on or off. The seat belt chime and reminder, stopped working, trying to reset, nothing. Way to many features that seem like they are either disabled or not functional, yet the itesm are indeed part of my build. I tried unhooking the battery, no difference.

I am not sure if there is a way to reboot the complete system? Not sure the center screen as the manual says. Or reloading software?

Ugh... dealership here I come, and I hate letting them touch anything!

With respect, please reach out to your dealership and ask for a re-orientation. If something isn’t working right then that would be a great opportunity to start the process for a warranty-related service.
Don't need a reorientation as I just retired from the Ford dealership lol. Know these vehicles well. And already reached out. Taking in next week unless I figure it out prior. Thanks

I mean no disrespect, but I’m following the other thread, have answered questions there and even took photos of the dash and icons, and still the conversation has gone in circles and you’re still referring to the buttons wrong (there is no pre-collision button and I mentioned the lane-keep button on the steering wheel toggling lane-centering on or off IF adaptive cruise is enabled, and the button toggles lane-keep assist on or off IF adaptive cruise is NOT enabled). Others pointed out the same about lane-keep assist vs lane-centering assist.

Im suggesting going over the details with someone at your dealership rather than a bunch of strangers here because, if nothing else, it’s confusing to keep terms like lane centering vs lane keep straight when half of us use the terms wrong.

Ok, well the ONE button (lane keep or lane assist) actually had two functions, depending on if you are use cruise control or not. The pre-collision is the button above it that sets the alert based on distance, I get that. BUT half the guys here state it DOES NOT work as you state, and half say it does? So which is it? The manual says the buttons should work independent, and mine do not, but it appears others have the same situation. So it is trim level, options packages? Don't know, cant figure out, and again manual is of no use. The seat belt chime that just decided not to work, no idea? I tried the reset disable and enable procesudres, nothing. Now today I decide to try the driving modes. Turn the rotary know, and again, nothing! So obviously I have more than one issue, but when it comes to my original post, half are with you, half against, so no clear answers.

I will try the dealership (where I worked) but I know those techs are no better able to figure it out. My only hope is they can hook a scanner up and flip through the options or codes if present and see what is going on.

I was hoping there was a way to reset the software for all these modules, but it appears that is not a self-help option.

Thanks for your input, it is appreciated, but I am just confused, as many seem to be!

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Just so you know, no one calls it pre-collision besides you. It is the adaptive cruise button, which is where a lot of the confusion is coming from.

Adaptive cruise is the upper left hand corner of the left side steering wheel. What im referring to is the top bottom just right if it above the lane assist/keep button. It set the precollision and adaptive cruise distance. Both buttons on the right side according to the manual have deul usages friending if you hit the adaptive cruise button or not.

Regardless of terminology the fact remains that half of the responses indicate duel usage and half respond if only working with adaptive cruise.

How do you know it doesn't work? Did you try to hit something to see if it stopped you lol

The wiser deduction would be that when pressed nothing indicates on the dash display, but you can try that if you want lol

It stopped me today when it thought I was backing up too fast near a light pole. Pole was 3 feet off to the side lol

You’re not even close lol. The top left is just standard cruise control. The button next to it sets the distance for the active cruise control. How can you say you just retired from fire and no theee cars inside and out. Those are basic universal functions on any brand
