I've seen a few people posting about this in other threads and wanted to make a centralized thread to discuss.

Last night my center screen started blacking out, then shows the Ford logo and reboots. It now does this every 5-10 mins or so. I didn't have this problem earlier in the day but it seems to be doing it consistently now. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the visor recall update? That's the only thing that's changed recently.

Has anyone contacted Ford/a dealer about this? (Or better yet know WHO at Ford to contact?). Seems like a software problem which I'm not sure a dealer can help with.

I can relay the info to Ford's product develpoment team. I saw the posts you are referring to in that thread, but was waiting to see if any more cases popped up. I would need the VIN of the affected vehicles to send them.

In the meantime, what you can do is use the "send feedback" feature in the touchscreen to advise the product development team of the issue. You can record a voice message to explain the issue to them. When you do this, it also sends them logs from your vehicle that they can use to figure out what is going on. In order for the send feedback thing to be effective, you would need to send it to them right after it happens before you turn the vehcile off. In other words, send the feedback during the same ignition key cycle the the issue occured.

Seems to be the same issue. If that's the case and it is a hardware issue, there's nothing anybody can do but wait. It is strange though that several people said it didn't start to happen until after an OTA update.
Mine is a 2025 which is outside the affected range. Yesterday it rebooted 4 times in 20 minutes, but today it was fine.

My '25 Ranger started doing this for the first time yesterday. Must have gone black screen and rebooted 3 times in under 20 minutes on a 7 mile trip.
I tried the pushing the steering wheel volume down / FF / Track skip buttons to soft reset / reboot, but haven't driven it enough yet to determine if it fixed anything.

If enough people report the issue, I can do my best to open a case with Ford. I would just need for the people affected to post or message me the VIN. Sending feedback through the touchscreen is key, though. Believe or not, they do have people on the other side of that who listen to the complaints and if enough complaints come in for the same issue, they will look into it.

Similar issue perhaps, but the recall is targeted at XL rangers with the 10" display. (Me and the other reports are all XLT/Lariat with 12" I believe). Also odd that this didn't start until immediately after that recall and we all just happen to have it start happening yesterday... Doubt it's hardware .

Issue is not model-specific. Given Ford's track record of software updates, I've turned my automatic updates off through the app.
