Dealer wants a $20K mark-up... Anyone else been hit with this???

So I got a call from the Ford dealership that I have been pestering for the last couple of months, just for him to tell me about the 20K mark-up, a $1K deposit, and the 1-per-dealership thing. I told him that I was ok with waiting, but I ain't paying an extra $20,000 on top of a $1K deposit with a $33K(estimated) KBB trade-in. I'm really disappointed that the dealerships are still doing this to people. And it's even more disappointing that I had no issues like this when I ordered my Tremor. What mark-ups have you guys heard about?

5k...10k..15k..20k..30k is the most I have seen. I actually paid 5k adm. And don't give a single fuck if it hurts anyones feelings.. but definitely is the worst part of capitalism

Basically when Ford told dealers there was going to be only 1 per initially, dealers just smelled the $$$. Not to say there's no good dealers out there, but this was probably the worst thing Ford could have done to mitigate ADMs.

Small town dealer I've bought 2 cars from in the past (one new, one used) take my vehicles there for service regularly. No deposit, no ADM. there are good dealers out there, but you have to get to know them for them to scratch your back. Doing little things like getting the bed sprayed locally and not bugging the piss out of them help too.

I'm paying MSRP according to my Dealer. And since I purchased my Maverick under the same terms I believe this will be at MSRP

Yup. Every major dealer in Houston is charging $10k+. Just keep saving the money you would have spent on a payment. I went from wanting to trade in, to now no trade in, to next year or the year after just being able to buy it outright.

Im paying MSRP and no deposit from a small out of state dealer. I sure hope these greedy dealers dont get what they're asking for.

The next closest dealer told me they get 1 raptor for next year. I replied if it is above msrp take me off the list. Silence is golden. Will buy another model or even make now.

I have two friends that each just ordered 2024 F250 Platinum’s north of Houston and they both got the trucks for 3.5% below sticker. My dealer is not marking mine up.
