Quality Assurance Hold - anyone else?

Yeah, me too. I had a build date of 4/17 and when I called my sales guy on Friday he told me it just got moved into QA hold.

"In production" status on 3/11, last update 3/11, dealer says QC hold, and Ford chat says "pending update" which has not changed since 3/11. Last ETA was 3/27-4/2. Clearly that didn't happen.

If this one is going to be delayed so long, why won't they just build another truck to the same specs and ship it? It's not like they can't sell that one later when whatever is wrong with it finally gets fixed.

Anyone else’s vehicle on quality assurance hold? My RR was built on 3/8 and was put onto quality assurance hold on 3/16.😪
I got a clear answer from ford about the quality assurance holds all the holds are in regards to the hood missing supports and the metal being wavy so they are replacing all the hoods before they go out

I got a clear answer from ford about the quality assurance holds all the holds are in regards to the hood missing supports and the metal being wavy so they are replacing all the hoods before they go out
Mine went into production on 04/24, and it went on a QC hold also. I wonder if it was for the hood....

I would say swapping out a hood shouldn't take 4 and half + months :D.
Also I wouldn't expect newer builds to have this issue as the fix was a change to manufacturing process.

Agreed since mine hasn’t moved either probably just an excuse for bigger issues

My RR had a 4/9 blend date and was originally scheduled to be shipped 4/18 - 4/24. That never happened and all I know is it's in Production on the pizza tracker. I have called Ford Marketing, used Ford Chat, contacted my dealer, and no one knows anything more.

So, how did you find out about the quality assurance hold?? Is there another avenue that I too can pursue to get more info??

So I’m not sure if I’m talking to the right people or what. But I’ve got two ladies that call me every week and give me updates on my truck. They are the two that told me why my truck is still in production and what is wrong with it regarding quality assurance hold. One calls me on Monday and one on Thursday. I call ford marketing, I can get you the number if you would like it might be a better contact.

Assuming your vehicle is on QC hold it is almost certainly for a different reason than those who had January/February builds.

IMHO unlikely. It is my understanding that the hood issue is isolated to the January/February builds.

Same here, but blend date 5/9; been on production since 5-11; got the unexpected delays email and then nothing. Have you downloaded Ford Pass and added the vehicle to see if it’s available to connect? My 2020 STX is already connected, and I added the new XLT a couple weeks ago and it was blank. Two days ago, it finally went live and showed ā€œactivateā€ which you can’t do until you take possession, but at least I know someone turned the ignition on.

Have you downloaded Ford Pass and added the vehicle to see if it’s available to connect? My 2020 STX is already connected, and I added the new XLT a couple weeks ago and it was blank. Two days ago, it finally went live and showed ā€œactivateā€ which you can’t do until you take possession, but at least I know someone turned the ignition on.
Yeah, the app shows the 'Activate Vehicle' but as you said you can't move forward. Also, there is now a new option 'Enter New FordPass' with the connect to Vehicle option but that is expecting the car to be turned on.

Yeah I was surprised when they offered to call me back next week with an update. I thought it would be a one time thing but it’s been going on for about a month now. They always ask at the end of the update call if I would like a call back next week for another update and I say yes. Then they say if we see any movement before the week mark we will call and let you know. I guess I really just got lucky so I don’t even have to call in anymore. Also totally off topic but when I would call in I did get this guy named Roland 3-4 times and every time he was extremely rude. I’m not sure if you got him but he was never helpful.
