So I got my Raptor back in May of 2024 and then a couple months later got the assault school invitation. Was planning on going and then life got in the way (moved states and had a baby).

Figured I was SOL but then attended the Raptor Rally 002 where the driving instructors were very enthusiastic about encouraging me to sign up for it anyway since (at least for the Bronco one for sure) they’d made plenty of exceptions to the 1 year deadline and other reasons.

I gave it a shot and tried signing up for one of the available dates and got a concise “No, you are ineligible” from the sales rep at whatever company manages the signups.

Anyone have any recommendations? I would really like to attend…pic for attention :)

If it makes you feel any better, I bought my truck (technically pre-owned) just months after it had arrived to the dealer with less than 4k miles on it. The previous owner didn't attend the assault school and had sent me the invitation. I pretty much got the same response when I asked if I could go.

I think you only have a year from date of new purchase to go to the Raptor Assault. I'm sorry this happened to you.

Bummer. I procrastinated until about 2 weeks to the deadline to find all the classes full but they managed to squeeze me in. They told me no luck after the 1 year though.

Stupid policy ford. Anyone who want to buy a Raptor of any kind and pays for the school should be allowed to attend. Complete morons making Ford policies, no wonder their stock has been in the tank for 10 yrs.

They see it as a perk for a new purchaser. They want it to be a reward for someone ordering or buying direct from a dealer a new unregistered raptor.

These assault events and the bronco off rodeo events dont have to be offered events at all.

It’s a paid event to make more money from you. Don’t let the marketing fool you. It is a good time but the restrictions are a complete joke to create the appearance of demand that isn’t really there while promoting their products and engineering on your dime.

I have been twice for both Raptors, and went to the dodge track event as well (much better). If you have a receipt for the Raptor from Ford, you should be able to pay to attend as long as you own the truck. I stand by the stupid policy statement.

I'm not sure how close you are to Salt Lake Utah, but if it makes you feel any better, to me it wasn't worth the flight, a hotel, and a rental car (I live in Virginia).

I’m in BC Canada and I went in November

I paid for my wife to do the class also ( I think spouse should be included - it’s her vehicle also )

with flight , rental car , hotel , huge cost for wife to take assault school … it was an expensive $5000 3 day weekend .

The dinner wasn’t very good , cold buffet .

we enjoyed the day , but it’s really geared towards novice drivers.

The track time is short / and you are limited to 2nd gear for speed . The off-road trail is nothing technical. They give you a good sandwich lunch on the trail .

A cool thing to do if take the class / drive to the bonneville salt flats - we did that and checked out the old air base with the cargo plane from con air - then went to casino at the Nevada border for lunch .

I you are in driving distance / it’s worth going for sure .
but for me , travelling to the event was too much money .

I have put my wife in dirt fish rally school before / now that was a lot of fun and knowledge for her . It was less money than adding her to assault - and she put in 4 hours of seat time in a rally car .Plus I can drive there

if you just want a fun driving event, do scca autocross racing. here, its 40 bucks for the weekend and not only can you drive your own car, you can ride along with anyone who is a member. my kids rode in some really fast and cool cars when they were not driving their little 325 bmws. it also taught them how their own cars handle in an emergency event on the highway.

they used to not allow trucks except on special occasions but just to get seat time in higher speed stuff, or a course with lots of turns and drift areas, an scca event is the way to go. or a porsche club track day.

and if you are near the texas motor speed way, they used to have open race days that you could take you truck to

Is the cut off to attend within 1 year of purchase or sign up within 1 year? Meaning could you sign up 11 months after purchase for a class offered 15 months after purchase?

I bought a 7 month old Explorer ST in 2022, but was denied access to it's driving school because it was used when I bought it so when I purchased my Ranger Raptor in 2025 I bought it new, and as soon as I got my invitation to the Ranger Raptor Assault school I immediately signed up. The program was very well organized with expierienced, knowledgable, and friendly instructors who made sure everyone had fun. Even got a Ranger Raptor Assault School swag bag, and hat. IMO it was well worth the airfare plus lodging dollars, and the best part was I got to beat the feces out of a Ranger Raptor that wasn't mine.

I took delivery of my Ranger Raptor in April 2025 and signed up for a July 2026 class on the website in late January 2026. From this data point and from what I have read elsewhere, it's one year from the purchase date to initiate the signup, but it's OK if the class is more than a year past the purchase date.
