Anybody had this happen? Walked out to my 2025 Ranger Raptor, with the key fob in my pocket (as usual) and go to pul on the door handle,... and nothing happens. It's locked. The door will unlock if I use the actual key fob to unlock it, but that's it.

Has anyone had this happen? Or know what's up?

Thanks in advance....

Check the battery in your fob. If it is good it could be the same issue I had with my 25 Lariat. Ford found a weak starting battery and the module in the headliner was not connected properly. Has the truck been sitting for awhile?

Thanks for sharing. The car hasn't been sitting, and it happens with either of the two key fobs I have .

My symptoms were similar , both key fobs were not working, the TPMS started acting up then the next day the fobs worked, then the battery died, then they didn't work. Ford has had the truck for three weeks with this and other issues with the EBB (brake) module. EBB on order, due tomorrow.

I just noticed this today, I’ve ordered some new batteries for the FOB and will see if that fixes the issue.

Mine does that when it is too cold outside. Or, if there is a lot of ice or moisture on the handle. Works fine when above 32 but not when it is colder. I was also told that a cellphone can interfere with it, but that doesn't sound legit. I read somewhere in very cold weather it doesn't work. Hope that helps.

Ive been having exactly the same behavior over the last couple of days as well. Might be a coincidence, but I didn't have any problem until the day I used the app to remotely start the truck. Cant say one way or the other whether thats relevant or not.

Of all odd things, I had this issue until I added the factory splash guards to my Raptor. Prior to, I’d get a lot of sand and snow kicked up and when the inside was wet or dirty, it wouldn’t work. The splash guards keep the dirt and moisture from coating the backside of the handle and I’ve not had an issue since.

I only had the issue when the handle was wet and cold. still trying to figure out what the pattern is.

Pretty cold around here the past week or so and I hadn't driven the truck in a week. Was out around 5AM this morning with temps around 5F. The good news is that the door opened and locked with no issue. The bad news is that despite clearly being fully shut, the truck thought the door was opened so, of course the interior lights had to be switch off manually. Thank god it didn't chime at me the whole time.

Not a big deal, love this truck, but between this and all the parking sensor problems it seems pretty clear that Ford spent the vast majority of its testing budget in warmer and dryer climes.

Back in the day, when the St Paul plant was cranking them out, it Was part of their testing plan.

This started yesterday with my RR. Can remote start with key fob or lock/ unlock.
Try to open truck by touching handle and nothing. Locking car by touching handle is now intermittent.
And finally had a day today over freezing first time in several weeks.
