I’ve been looking at several options for catted downpipes for my Ranger Raptor. I’ve done everything else I want to do: intake, charge pipes, intercooler and Ford Performance tune. Now I’m coming across some threads saying I’ll damage the turbos or the engine if I don’t pair it with a custom tune. Anyone added downpipes with the FP tune? Am I safe to do this? This is really the last mod I’m interested in. Turbos and custom tune is outside of what I’m willing to do as this is a daily driver.

I have the FenFab Downpipes and have ran the FP Tune with zero issues. Currently running a ZFG Tune

I'm actually installing SPD downpipes on my 25 RR today. I have already done a Process West stage 2 intercooler, all piping, cold air intake and BOV. I plan on doing a Goose tune right after. I think the FP tune is too generic and can't accommodate engine mods.

I haven't decided. There aren't that many choices yet and most exhaust systems won't produce any real horsepower until you get into the 5000rpm range and nobody drives there on a regular basis. I think the Borla system sounds too raspy. The MagnafFlow system is nice and MBRP makes a reasonably priced axle back system to eliminate the resonators. But someone said it well once, the juice might not be worth the squeeze.

Here is the video of my SPD downpipe install.

I hope AWE comes out with one. I have an AWE exhaust for my wife's bronco Raptor and I love it!

Is the ZFG tune noticeably faster from the butt dyno?

I love the sound of the Borla Atak system (also loved it on my previous ‘19 F-150 3.5L) so I returned back to Borla for my ‘25 RR. Only have 2.5K miles on the truck and at about 1.5K I did the Ford Pro-Cal tune & full cat back Borla (with the black tips). The sound & performance (w/the tune) has been phenomenal and I can’t tell you how much better the black tips look over the brushed stainless especially on the desert tan. The stainless looked out of place with no other bright work. The polished black looks perfect next to the hooks and the Borla tips sit just a little bit more exposed versus the stock, but nothing odd or off putting. Just right. The sound in Sport & Baja straight freaks people out if their windows are down and you lean into it! And the tune really wakes the truck up around town and smooths out the trans. Love the combo.

Looks great, yea they stick out a tiny bit more but not to much. What are the chances you drop a video?
Congrats on the exhaust. I am going to head to SEMA first just to see what’s out there but I am thinking I am going to do the same thing.

Are the Downpipes custom from Fen Fab? I don’t see RR user vehicles, only Explorer ST.
