Dealer FP Tune installed. Box never opened

I specifically asked the Ford Performance specialist about updates to the Procal tune and he advised there has never been one, and they do not anticipate doing one either. Just FYI.

I spoke directly with the Procal specific contact at Ford Performance, who helps the dealer technicians with installation daily. He advised there has been no update to the Ranger Procal tune, if anyone wants to confirm just call on the number that was provided. I have no reason to question their expertise.

I’m not saying you’re correct or incorrect, but I don’t trust their expertise. If you’re curious why, spend some time on F150 gen 14 and read the posts and threads by jesseinfotainment

It is doubtful that the tune itself ever gets an update based on the procedure to get CARB certification.

The tuning module itself likely does get updates periodically like any other piece of hardware.

Incidentally, anyone know the cheapest Windows laptop that will run FORScan (potentially top 10 worst software names ever)? Been a Mac guy way too long.

I’m not arguing if it gets updated. It probably doesn’t, but expertise is a strong word to use when speaking about fords programming and coding

If you can't find anything super cheap on local marketplaces, I have had decent luck at https://www.dellrefurbished.com/ finding sub-$200 laptops. They almost always run a promo for 30-50% off some category.
