Has anyone experienced and wind noise with the driver window fully rolled up. It happens on the highway around 65mph or faster. It’s almost like the window rolls up to high. If the just tap the button down and fixes it for the most part. Still annoying though. It only started happening recently and I’m at like 6,500 miles. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the window gasket and unfortunately made it worse. They said they’re going to wait till they have another Ranger Raptor on the lot to take it on a test drive and see if it does the same thing.

try the dollar bill test

To locate air leak, open the door, while open, place a dollar bill over the door seal then close the door such that the dollar bill is wedged between the seal and mating surface. With the door closed, try to remove the bill, there should be some slight resistance which indicates a good seal.
Repeat this procedure especially all around the upper area of the door. If you encounter an area where there is little or no resistance, it indicates a poor seal.

Oh thanks!! Totally going to try this. Appreciate it! Sounds like it’s coming from the B pillar area in the door window seal gasket area. My dealer is great and said they will keep on investigating it. The techs could hear it. One of the first times ever a dealer was able to replicate a customers issue. Hahaha

I've got a similar noise starts at 45mph to 70mph. 2024 Ranger XLT FX4 4X4. Took it to the dealer they said It had a bad front wheel bearing. They replaced it but still have a similar noise. Its not associated with the windows or mirrors. Going to drive it some more before I take it back in.

Try folding your mirror in. I have wind noise and a cricket sound, and it is related to the mirror. When I fold the mirror in, the wind noise changes and the cricket stops chirping.

I just noticed this today when driving on the highway. New RRaptor, ~250mi. I thought it was coming from the window but I'll have to do some more investigating now

Mine turned out to be a bad front wheel bearing (3,000 miles). Replaced under warranty by dealership
All is good again.

I had a lot of wind noise on my RR. I pinpointed it to the window glass run channel not sealing correctly. If I push it up into the corner of the door then close the window, the noise 100% goes away. Once I roll the window down, it slightly pulls the channel with it and upon closing the window, the noise returns. I have to keep pressing the channel back into the upper corner of the door. Is it the run channel or the door? Don't know - suppose I'll find out soon enough.

I am likely going to replace the run channel myself as I really don't like bringing my vehicles to the dealer - too many bad experiences. The part is relatively cheap. The last thing I need is for the tech to beat on the truck trying to replicate my complaint and then messing up the door trying to replace it.

Thanks. I'll have to try your troubleshooting steps. I just started noticing the wind noise over the weekend.

Thanks for the info. That is exactly where the wind noise is coming through mine also and the dealer actually replaced that window gasket. And they actually made the noise worse.

Maybe they didnt seat it all the way up to the top of the of the b-pillar side of the door/window frame.

I found that if you pull the channel out of the window frame (on b-pillar side of front door) just enough so you can pull it up out of the door maybe 3/8" and push the extra material to the top of the door frame, then reseat the channel, my wind noise goes away 100%. I don't know if the channel in the door is too wide and doesnt hold onto the window run channel tight enough, or if the run channel itself is bad.

However, once I put the window down, the noise returns...
