Experiences of EGR Rolltrac bed cover

Hi all, had a EGR Rolltrac fitted in 2024 to my raptor - and honestly, been a bit of a headache with water ingress:

They did say it wasn’t water tight due to the design of the Rangers bed/sidecaps.

However, since solving that issue, I’ve managed to find the leaks are generally from the roller shutter itself, sorting the sidecaps barely changed anything!

I’ve attached some photos to show the issues. Essentially, it just leaks in through all the seals/joint pieces. It’s disappointing considering the one on my previous RR was perfect.

I would typically just live with it, but they soak the bed carpet and all my tools after even a light shower where the drips just stream the water in. We even had a courtesy Wildtrak with an OEM electric shutter and it didn’t leak after 2 days of decent rain! So something isn’t right here.

I don’t want to sh!t on EGR as they seem a decent company, but just after some experiences of others. I have emailed them on it so will have to wait and see what they say.

Sorry to hear that, looks like it is hard to find waterproof tonneau cover.
I heard Tessera might be good, but I have never actually seen one.

I had a hard fiberglass tonneau cover on my 2005 F150 Lariat. It was one piece and shaped to completely cover the beds rails and hinged at the head of the cab. Ugly, heavy and very restrictive to what could be covered in the bed but, never ever leaked.

Today’s covers are segmented (natural places for water to enter), streamline, light, cool looking and very versatile. However, they do leak a bit. I like my roll up cover even with the occasional drops of water. When I require zero water I use my wife’s SUV.

I think my issue is the one for the previous gen I had don’t let any water in at all, but this one seems to be leaking through the slats and joints…

So an update for those that care…

EGR Replaced the roller shutter, can’t fault their customer service at all. Straight on it and replaced it.

However, the good news stops there. The new one is worse! Leaks through the slats of the shutter itself, and still fills up the end caps!
They’ve offered to swap it out for a third time, or a full refund.

Tempted to go the refund route, but what else is out there that works on the factory key that is actually waterproof?

Any suggestions welcome…

Roller covers seem to be shitty quality
My RealTruck cover is even worse and they are not willing to replace it.

It’s so frustrating, as the same roller shutter I had on my gen1 RR was so good, but this one is so sh!te

We had a V6 Wildtrak as a courtesy with the Ford electric shutter, that thing let in one drop through a 4 hour storm, but I don’t want to go get robbed by Ford
