Mine fit perfect, yes the plugs are large. I never use plugs on this type of lighting, butt connectors and shrink tube. It sucks you damaged your grill but that’s on you not F150led.

I drilled pilot holes as the instructions stated to and had no problem with the drill jumping.

Ouch I removed the grill and drilled from the back side of the grill. I looked for some "how to" videos on youtube and saw that it only took about 10 minutes to remove the grill.

I tried the cheap Ebay lights first that only required small holes to be drilled. Install was easy but the lights sucked. It was one of those you get what you pay for things. Each light had 4 dots that lit up. The F150LED lights are brighter and the whole rectangular lens lights up, not just 4 dots. The Aussie lights are probably good as well? I dont even think they were an option when I bought my lights almost 2.5 years ago. I have ordered a couple Aussie products that weren't available in the states. Good products but it sucks waiting a month or more for shipping.

One of several reasons our grill lights are the absolute superior product is the fact that we utilize COB pure linear LED lighting technology so that you dont get the cheap dots that other products (including those mentioned in this thread) use. We are glad you are loving yours, we need to get you upgraded to the custom fit models !

Really wish someone else would come out with a quality form fitting kit

F150Leds I sent back immediately bc they look like some Temu junk especially for the price

moustas I’ve had for over 6 months, I like how it’s a full upper grille piece and matches really well….. BUT wasn’t a fan of seeing the 3leds in each one, looks cheap when lit up and my middle one has failed already

Purchased the 150Leds grill lights about 10 days ago. Installed today.

Took the grill off. Drilled a 1/4” hole from the front as the grill lay flat on a table. Then drilled from the rear with a 3/8” then 7/16”. Connected to Aux1.

I just used a way smaller bit and bored it out with a few test fits. I would prefer if the used something similar to Baja Designs wiring where they’ve got the small male posts to fit into a harness, would allow for a smaller hole.


As others have mentioned, I’m willing to overlook the small issues or annoyances for the uniform led look they give.

Edit to add: photos, matches my Amazon special amber drls, and matches the actual f150 stock markers and drls.

I just got a response from f150leds and yes, cutting the connectors will void the warranty.

It was the RR specific kit, i sent it back immediately after pulling them out of the box
