There is something weird going on with my 2025 Ranger sound system. Sometimes it makes a loud thump noise after turning on the system and also when turning the volume up or down. It is an intermittent issue, just today, it started doing it after leaving my house, drove it and stopped at a few places and now is back to normal. The thumping noise sounds likes is mainly coming from the subwoofer.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Did you check that all the wire harnesses are connected snug and secure?

I haven't but that was my next step, I might unplug the subwoofer, remove it and reinstall it, if it keeps making the noise, I will let the dealership check ot out.

Don't waste your time with the dealer unless you can reproduce it easily and repetitively (unless you're short on warranty, then yes, have it documented with an attempt to fix). Try the above suggestions, otherwise it sounds like a loose power wire or what we would call in the old days, "turn-on thump" when your amp came on after a delay.

Saxdogg is absolutely correct. Mine developed a cooler temperature rattle. I had videos from inside the cab and the dealer had taken some time to find it. One time it was a loose bolt on the running board and the other was a wiring harness terminal connector outback on the driver side. At least my issues are documented in Oasis.

As far as your radio issues, I have not experienced that myself. Apologies I couldn’t be more helpful.

Thanks for the input, I'm pretty sure that they'll be looking at my like I'm a nut at the dealership. I don't think it's anything major, eventually I'll find out what's going on, hopefully just a loose connection.
