Its ok. We 1600 last weekend and even though i had to run premium (truck is tuned) stopping every 300 miles and i was only putting about 14 gallons in each time.
Your truck only gwts .5 mpg less then mine does in real life. My son has a 26 2.7 lariat and i have a 24 2.3 so we talk about gas mileage regularly

You can see the gas mileage starting on the 25th. That was our trip take off day but you can see what in when we woukd stop for gas or if we had to stop from some reason.

The cheapest premium was 4.59 snd most expensive, here akong the ocean in north carolina, was 5.09

I’m second guessing getting the 2.7L was th these gas prices. $5gal for premium 🫣
I’ve been sticking with regular 87 for mine. It sounds like it would do better with premium but the price differential has been too much recently for me to try it.

I have never put anything but 87 octane in mine. I just turned 20,000 miles and probably a third of that is towing.

And after just watching this video, I'm rethinking my choice of octane.
I have however tried to always use Top Tier gasoline when available.
