Fixed rail cap leak w/ silicone caulk

I read as much as I could here and other places to fix the leaking rail caps. I wish someone would have come out with a real solution but I think what I did turned it really good. I went with a silicone black caulk. I think it sealed perfectly and you can barely see the caulk if you are really looking for it

Looks good! I did the same thing, but your's came out better. I also did the long seam between the bed and rail cap. I used blue painters tape on both sides to contain my mistakes. There's also the big holes to cover on the left and right side of the bulk head. I covered those, inside and outside, with 6 or 7 inches of waterproof patch and seal tape. Then a tailgate seal kit, and no leaks (yet...Ha!).

I just purchased the REV cover from Ford's website. So far I like it, and zero leaks coming from that.
I did a car wash test for the cover and rail caps and decided not to go extreme on those other entry holes. For me it's considered waterproof enough
