Wow, Baja Design's customer service is incredible. They had a very thorough response back within an hour or two:

Thank you for your inquiry.

The light pod appears crooked because the mounting bracket around the bezel is intentionally positioned closer to the inside of that pocket.

This kit mounting spec is compliant with the 2024+ Ford Ranger Raptor OEM fog light mounting spec. When fog light pods are mounted flush or deeply recessed in certain bumper kits, pointing them straight ahead can cast shadows or leave a blind spot in the immediate center. Angling them inward ensures the beams intersect, providing a solid wall of light right where you need it for low-speed off-roading or dense fog.

  • Wide Cornering Lens Pattern: The S1 ships exclusively with a Wide Cornering lens. This lens flattens and stretches the output horizontally, with a 42-degree spread, to cover the immediate foreground and cornering ditch areas.
  • Overlapping Core: Because the light spreads so wide, angling the pods slightly inward actually optimizes the pattern. It ensures the brightest hot spots blend right in front of your truck hood, preventing a dark center gap without sacrificing the 42-degree peripheral blanket.
I have included some images in the kit listing as an example, as you can see the position of the pod is installed intentionally closer to the left side of that pocket (and vice versa on the passenger's side)

For additional reference, here is a GMC S1 fog light application, mounted in spec with the stock fog light distribution spec. This one appears to be positioned lower, as the deep pocket would not cast a shadow at this angle and interfere with light distribution.

Would like to see these once you install, would like to see actually Fog light options. Not to mention if Moustas has done anything to fix the bracket for the USDM market.
So got my lights installed and deffinately have not corrected the metal bracket for US spec RRs.

I did cut some of the plastic mount bracket so mine sit a little better, but still no centered in the opening. I also had one side too far fwd to the point there was virtually no gap along the bottom, but decided to back the light up a little in an effort to get some airflow over the plastic bezel in hopes these do not melt/distort the plastic bezel.

I did wire my high beam trigger up to the aux 6 switch so I do have mine fully operational.

Now need to wait until nightfall so I can go and adjust the lights so they are aiming correctly.

Deffinately will post night pictures once I take it out and get the lights adjusted. Really curious on how the high beams look running off the aux switch.

As for how they looked installed, mine basically fit in fhe bezel just like in the video.

It’s funny this was found, I sat in front of the truck for about 15 minutes to finally realize my American adventure lab A pillar mounts also tilt in a similar fashion, I doubt that was by design but it works out lighting wise.

Oh, yeah. The dbl mount is offset what appears to be 15° and 30°, which are perfect for ditch pods.
