We have the engine and fuel tank skids in stock for the FX4. We are working on getting the transmission and transfer case skids into production in the near future.

I’m sorry you had that issue. We have since revised the skid plate so going forward that will not longer be a problem.
Thank you for the response. I really do like the skid plate. It was just that small overlap that caused the issue, otherwise it looks great.

I think Rival should send you the revised version and let you return the old version since they didn’t fully test it before selling it to you. Just my 2 cents. Customer service eh?

Agreed. Not fair he had to beta test a product at full price.

I’d also be concerned about their gas tank skid. If it wasn’t properly tested could end up rubbing a hole in the tank. Maybe I won’t consider this company for skids after this instance.

We appreciate the concern, but we have sold hundreds of these skid plates worldwide and to date have not had one issue with a punctured fuel tank.

We are constantly improving on our products. Some improvements are due to changes from the manufacturer and some are from customer feedback during installation etc. We do appreciate any feedback(good or bad) and we are always willing to work with our customers to improve their experience now or in the future.

Unfortunately it’s a bit more complicated than that. We are a global company and the current set of skids are based on the Australian Ranger which will require some minor changes to fit the US model. Our engineers have addressed the issues and should have a production set available in the coming months.
We modified a set to fit this US spec Ranger Raptor for the time being.

I can tell you that this stuff is great. They sent me a full set to test. Everything fit, except the trans skid plate and the one behind it. So, basically the two behind the radiator and engine.

The modification I had to make was drill small holes in the frame for the nuts to fit into. I looked into this more and strangely enough, the Australia Rangers have those holes already there for whatever reason.

I made it work though and they are great.

Definitely worth waiting. I am very interested in front and rear bumpers. I already dragged my rear through a muddy rut and bent it a little.

I have this plate installed and can tell you it fits 100%! It mounts with brackets to where the plastic one mounts. There is no way for it to rub the tank whatsoever. Been on my truck for two months and never had any issue at all. It also mounts perfectly, no mods needed.

As for strength, this thing is solid. I slammed my tank on a sharp, triangle shaped rock, and there is barely a scratch. I hit hard enough that I had to get out and crawl under to check, it was a hard hit. So, I am super happy with this.

Thanks!
US specific skid plates for those you mentioned are in que for production.

Thanks again for the input and helping us bring these to the US market!

We will be test fitting the Australian spec front bumper on our Ranger Raptor soon. If no changes need to be made we will be bringing them to the US market soon after.

Is it expected to be bolt on or will trimming be required?
