the R/r assault school was fun. I want to do more modes to improve my Proformance even further but not really sure if anything that is out is worth it.
Are you meaning, there's not much more to improve the performance with your current Ford Procal Tune? Or in general there's not a lot of performance parts out that will improve your truck past the FP Tune? Thanks.

We do not have 93 in CA, so I am simply trying to get the octane to 93-ish world to get the most out of it. I am allowing the tune to perform the best it can. The tune will work on PSI and timing.

Oh good! I'm glad to hear that the word is out about this! Sorry, new to the forum and I was just so blown away by the difference it made, I felt compelled to immediately tell everyone.
Yes! After the tune I almost never use sport mode anymore because it makes normal mode awesome. I love it.

The tune requires 91+
Run straight 91.
You will make more power than if you mix with E85…

Thanks for your input. Can you explain this in technical detail? Just curious, thanks

Adding ethanol does not increase octane.

Ethanol can provide more net power but it requires much much more volume of fuel. More than the factory fuel system can provide.

It's definitely a nice upgrade. The tune is not great though. For me it's very non-linear. It seems to kick on around 4K rpm. It's more like a switch vs just having more boost/power.

but overall it's awesome.

I run 20% e85 and 80% 91 (CA) with the tune at all times, and the tuck has adapted to that. If you want the most out of the tune I'd recommend doing this every time.
It’s not great, but over all it’s awesome??

but the injectors would tune to hit the optimal A/F ratio, for a given boost target level (fuel map). That is how injector flow is calculated: engine load => throttle opening => A/F ratio => injector duty cycle, correct? So my logic would be it would adjust accordingly over time to the different mixture, and also advance timing.

Not even close.

What I was trying to say is that there is not a lot of performance parts out for the R/R. I believe that the Tune is the best bang for your buck.

I've been informed by a friend in the explorer st world (he's on his third one that he's seeing up for racing) that their system will handle up to e40 without maxing out fuel delivery and injectors. I'm presuming our RRs are similar, but of course we don't have a lot of data yet. Since higher concentrations of ethanol mean that you can increase spark without detonation, you should be able to get more until you got limits of either advance or where detonation occurs. Still lots to learn about our RRs. Hopefully ZFG or someone similar will figure ours out

I've had my tune for the past few days, and noticed that the truck temps seem to run cooler ie, oil, transmission etc. I didn't do a log, but generally remember seeing everything running 200 ish or above once fully warmed up, but now its under 200. I'm really enjoying the extra torque and new shift points. Makes the truck feel less sluggish and how it should have came, especially normal mode.
