Ford says iPhone12 and newer incompatible with charging pad.

Primarily has to do with the height of the iPhone 16 camera lenses. It’s about 1/8” higher than the back of the iPhone. Doesn’t set flat on the pad.

I use a coiled, expandable, USB C cord. I keep it in the phone holder mostly at eye level. There are also phone mounts available, that are mag safe and have a charger built in. So it’s not a big deal.

It will charge if it’s not jostled around but it’s a rather weak charging pad and doesn’t do a good job.??

Try making sure your phone is facing up and the top of your phone is closer to you (meaning the charging port is facing the front of your truck). That did the trick for me (iPhone 15 Pro Max with a MagSafe case).

I have 13 pro and it charges fine in my truck. I don’t know why they would say it’s not compatible.

I have a 14 and it works fine.

Like Craigc , I flip my iPhone 14 Pro Max face side down when I don’t want to charge the phone.
But when I do it charges fine. I have a “dbrand” case with a mag safe ring
The feature I like best about this case is the elevated lip for the camera runs around to the other side, this makes it lay flat on its back. No rocking side to side.

My 16 Pro max charges just fine. I do find that if I put it in upside down (Top of the phone towards you) it works better. Something with the alignment and the big phone. If you have a large case I could see that being an issue. Mine is a Mous Case so no issues.
