Yep, you can swing it out, or just crack it an inch or so if you need to slip something small in. My tonneau sits on the rails so I have more clearance then if you went with a low pro for example.

You can see how much of the light it blocks, it was a dry fit, but gives you an idea

On the RR does it stick out past the wheel well? i.e. can you still fit a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood flat?

Agreed it is over priced but may be a good way to spend my ford points. Looking for a good place to store ratchet straps, tie downs, etc. I would normally put them under the rear seat, but with child seats installed not easy to access anything under the rear seat...

Actual volume is about 11 gallons (I converted 1.5 cu ft). That is actually quite impressive use of what would normally be wasted space there.
I am thinking about one, but not if it moves around or is noisy. It would be great for tie downs, bungee cords and stuff that wouldn’t break your heart if it got stolen… no firearms or other valuables!

Does it latch in the stored position? --- Yes it latches when against the fender. It shares the bolts with the center and rear tie down points, making them inaccessible when installed.

Does the box rest on the bed surface when closed? -- No, it is suspended on its hinge above the bed.

Does it move around on bumpy roads? -- I have never had any issues with it moving around, I have a lot of things/weight stored in mine.

Would the driver side box completely block the power outlets? -- Yes, it also blocks some/most of the bed lights as well.

Looks like the standard Swing Case design, just a different bracket for the Ranger. Cannot find a PDF yet for the install.

There is a bracket that uses the existing holes for the rear and mid bed tie down points. That contains the latch. There is a second bracket that mounts on the sides of the tailgate opening. All use existing holes in the bed.

Do I think the bins are worth it? For me, I think so. I carry tools, recovery straps, shackles, hitch and pins. Other side I carry ratchet straps and washer fluid. The underseat storage just isn't enough or convenient when I'm carrying my dog or passengers.

In this truck, I'll probably only use only one so I keep one bed light and the power points clear. They come out so if I need to fill the bed I still can

Installed mine yesterday. Also have spray in bedliner. No problems with factory holes, they must have inserted bolts or plugs of some kind.

However, be sure to use a hammer to insert torx driver through bedliner on factory screws. Mine were very difficult to remove. Not sure what kind of thread lock they use…

Ruined one bolt head and broke an easy out. Finally had to use channel locks to slowly back it out..
Replaced all 4 factory bolts with black Allen headed M8x1.25 bolts from hardware store. Ugh!

Installed a Ford model side box on the right side of the bed on my '24 RR. Used Pass points. Holes line up and box mounts as advertised. As noted, the box swings out under the bed cover and doesn't scrape the bed floor. Points:
- If you use the tie down points in your bed, consider ordering a new one or moving the existing one on the rear support of the box. Once the box is installed the rear most tie down, behind the box is pretty much useless and is certainly difficult to access. There is an existing place to mount one on the inside of that support, on top of the rear box bracket.
- What on earth was Ford thinking to use red lock tight for the torx screws on the tie downs? If you have a bed liner make sure you clear ALL the bedliner from the torx holes before attempting removal of these screws. Work the torx manually and SLOWLY back and forth while freeing the screws, before you use a impact gun. I stripped two of the four that must be removed. It took over an hour to remove those two with a vice grips - a little at a time. They come out hard all the way to the end. You may want to consider cleaning the threads with a die prior to installing/reinstalling the screws.
- There is a slight ability to adjust the mounting bracket for smooth operation of the box. If it hangs up for any reason, readjust. It should work easily and w/out having to grab the box itself.

Otherwise it's a very useful piece of kit - if you have a use for it. Expensive however. Pass rewards make the cost more palatable.

Mine had blue threadlock on the bolts, but it was very tough to remove. I’d use heat if doing it again. Two bolts stripped, one broke when using vicegrips to twist. I had to drill it out, drill heated it and spun it out the back.

I was going to get the Ford pivot box but it's very spendy given I spent ford points ons j-brace. In the end I decided instead to get a Yeti 30 GoBox for the same price (actually cheaper with 20% REI coupon). Overall very pleased with it, holding straps, flash light, first aid kit, picnic blanket, simple tools

Cons:

1. Isn't physically bolted to bed or pivot out. However, it has very nice rubber feet and fits into that same corner spot nicely. I've had zero issues with it moving at all on the rubber mat.

Pros:

1. Very high quality, in terms of material and seal, compared to the black plastic ford cargo box.
2. Much more flexibility in using for trips, and can still use it if i ever sell Ranger.
3. Doesn't block the integrated bed light in any way.
4. If it does happen to move at all, has built in tie-down spots that I could tether to bed.

Installed passenger side Ford storage bin. Quality seems OK but they are overpriced. I think it’ll be useful though.

How much space is underneath it? If I have a bet mat will it still swing out?
