I have a 2024 Ranger RB (European version). I now know two other people who also have a 2024 Ranger RB. On both of their vehicles, after using Remote Start in the app, the climate control panel appears at the bottom of the screen. From there, they can adjust the cabin temperature and turn on the heated seats and heated steering wheel.


This has never appeared on my vehicle. I contacted Ford Germany and had several phone calls with both customer support and a case manager.


In the end, they told me that my vehicle belongs to a very small production batch in which this climate control feature is not supported in the app.

Has anyone here ever heard of this before? I don’t think it’s something that can be changed through programming.

I disnt know anyone could even do that, period.

I have a 25 XLT. In the app, I can adjust the temperature stetting from low to high and also adjust the heated seats from off to low, medium or high. I don’t have a heated steering wheel and have no options in the app to control it. I wonder if the app is somehow VIN specific for what you can control from it?

Probably by trim. My Ford app just starts the truck, locks/unlocks the door, and does the trailer light check.

One thing that I’ve noticed with the remote start on mine, is that the climate control settings in the app override the climate control settings inside the truck when you use the remote start function. I had the climate control in the truck set for AC and the temp on low, but the temp settings on my app set to high temp and the heated seats on. I started my truck by remote one afternoon on a hot day. I figured that I’d cool the truck down a little before going into town. It was a 95 deg day and I was expecting to get into a cooled down vehicle. Instead I climbed in a truck with the heater on high and the heated seats on. Not Happy!!!

It’s actually not related to the trim level. I know two other owners with the exact same truck as mine, same model year, same trim, and the same equipment, and they have full climate controls in the app.


It turns out my truck has a different modem, and that specific hardware doesn’t support the climate control feature in FordPass. We spent a long time on the phone with Ford Germany, and after several calls they confirmed it’s a small production batch with a non fixable issue. In the end, Ford even offered me a goodwill voucher as compensation because there’s no software update or programming that can enable it.

Anyone found the settings to maintain the previous drive mode?I know this feature is standard, but for some reasons my truck does not have it and it’s annoying..anytime the engine restarts the mode goes on default normal, without asking if I want to keep the previously used one

My 25 xlt will ask if i want to to keep previous drive mode, and if you dont click yes before the bar goes away(a count down). it defaults to normal

I know that. And that’s why I am asking if anyone knows the forescan coding for that option cause apparently all rangers behave like that except mine
