Unfortunately, I'm canceling my order. I have to replace my tires and want to go to 35s so needed this or the GOAT option. Was willing to pay the premium for these as my shocks will need a rebuild at the same time so it gave me the least amount of downtime (this is my daily).

That's just like tires, the Ford OE spec KO3's are not quite the same as the mass market KO3's in the same size, they are tweaked for OE performance requirements in ride, handling and fuel economy.

Price. OEM versions of consumer market items are almost ALWAYS inferior, and it's because of price. Manufacturer calls (for example) BFG and says we'll buy a million KO3s a year if you can hit this price point. BFG then builds a cheaper tire .... OEM don't care one bit about actual performance, don't kid yourself.
Anyone remember the the Explorer Firestone tires scandal?

Everything is about cost, the cheapest possible way to get a feature that advertises better than the competition - that people will pay for.

Look at it this way, if Ford could save One Dollar per tire, in 2025 that would increase profits by 17.6 million dollars.
(Worldwide sales 4.4 million x 4 tires. Not even including spares...)
