Functional 1" front lift - Coilover Top Hat Kit vs Spacer Kit

Anyone here considered upgrading the OEM top hat (RPG or Foutz) versus just using a spacer (GOAT)?

I've seen the GOAT video's (good info fyi) on spacers, but if I'm already digging into bumping the front end a small amount for overall clearance, why not just upgrade structural component while I'm in there?

Any experiences here?

I don’t have an answer for you except to say I ultimately went with the spacer (Rock Krawler not GOAT) and I’m happy with it. The shop I had do the work couldn’t really give me a nuanced explanation of the differences but they thought the result would be very similar either way. ChatGPT said more or less the same

.. actually that thread with G.O.A.T.S reply to the subject and experience (seemingly unnecessary if just going for a lift) seems to cover it. Thanks for sharing that ....

Yea I thought so too but also was just kinda dudes arguing

But yea my rudimentary understanding is that the lift you get is the same idea between the two, tophat does change the physical bracket at the top as well but debatable if that has any real benefit.
