Between weekend tailgates, chasing fall foliage, muddy pumpkin patches, and those sudden rainy commutes... autumn brings a totally different vibe, and a totally different kind of mess.

You know exactly where it all ends up. Ground into your floorboards, scattered across the truck bed, and stuck in the back seat. Crushed leaves, muddy boots, wet umbrellas, and dirt that somehow gets everywhere.

We highly recommend equipping your Ranger with a set of all-weather Michelin mats. It's easily one of the smartest upgrades you can make for your vehicle this season — the coverage is solid, keeping leaves, mud, and water locked in place before they ever touch your original carpet.

Before the heavy weather really hits, we want to know: how are you fall-proofing your ride? All-weather mats, a truck bed mat, a deep clean, or what else?

Drop a photo of your setup in the comments — it could inspire other owners in the forum. The most-liked setup gets a $20 Amazon gift card on us.

I keep my truck prepped all year, only thing I do is give it a good wash and wax before the snow and grime hit.

I keep all my vehicles pretty clean through out the year so that way it is a lot easier to clean. I do two major cleanings before and after winter that consist of a full clean ie seats, windows and I use a graphene spray on the body. We have a car wash here that is a water only sprayer that is open 24 hours a day and even when using that my truck comes out really clean.

That sounds like a great way to stay ahead of the winter mess! Keeping everything clean throughout the year definitely makes those deeper cleanings a lot easier. Thanks for sharing your routine with us! 😊

Okay, THAT’S deep snow! 😂 At this point, the truck looks like it’s trying to hibernate for the winter. Hope you had a snow shovel big enough for the job! 😆
Yes you can see the snowblower just a bit at the left of the picture. That's the orange thing. It did take me about a hour to get it out but then it was really fun to play in the snow.

This will be my first fall! But my plan is to remove my fishing gear to make room for hopefully a deer in the back!

Post-hunting season in January, I'll be swapping some gear for firewood equipment and be doing hauls. I'm estimating it'll take about 5 or 6 beds' worth of firewood to get me stocked up for next winter!

No specific Fall prep needed.
Winter prep for my new to me 2025 Ranger includes yearly rustproofing and procuring a good set of studded winter tires.

What kind of rustproofing do you do? DIY or do you take it somewhere? I am debating doing the same this year and was thinking of buying an air sprayer kit, and going with Surface Shield...

Here in Québec DIY is not really worth doing. There are many companies (Antirouille Métropolitain, Ziebarth, Krown, Dura-Techand many more) that offer rustproofing.
The type of rustproofing is more important. The so called 'permanent' ones are all crap they harden over time and crack, then salt and crud gets in and then the rust starts. The ones that work are the yearly oil based ones.
