What's your Drive Mode for daily driving?

I’ve found Sport mode to get the transmission shifts, but with normal suspension, sport steering, and normal exhaust to be my favorite for running around town.

Being in a more rural area, I find myself changing the suspension to off road (Baja?) with the same settings above being a frequent swap. It does wonders on the washed out roads.

I saw my first RR in the wild today on Interstate 95 North in Massachusetts. (A shadow black one .) They are not popular here in the northeast probably due to massive dealer mark ups? or the fact that we have no sand baja races here. We have beaches, but most aren't driveable and you will suffer the salt water rust on you undercarriage

Where are you getting any speed on Charlie’s Creek?? You’re in my backyard! I have yet to see another Ranger Raptor on the road here in North Georgia.

Just short runs, mere throttle blips, on Charlie's Creek. Mostly crawling along. Had my nephew with is Duramax 2500 and my son with a stock Colorado diesel following so I couldn't run off and leave them. I had open up a bit more on Musterground though.

I live in Hartwell and am often in Lavonia. PM me and let's meet up! Right now I have the bumper off though, was trying to install a Rival winch bumper but I am having fitment issues.

Im in normal exhaust, engine, and suspension, with comfort steering, Auto start/Stop off.

Im revisiting this thread. Lately I've been driving mostly engine normal, steering comfort, suspension sport, exhaust sport. I didn't think I would like sport suspension for daily driving, but it turns out I find it just right...unless of course im on a pothole riddled street, then back in normal.

Last week I was hauling a fragile load and I discovered that putting it into ECO mode makes it easier to accelerate gently from a stop.

Normal mode most of the time. I too get worse mileage in eco mode, so don’t use it much, but using it when hauling a delicate load sounds like a good time to use it. I’ll switch to sport mode when I’m going up steep grades on the hwy/interstate or when putzing through the forest roads.

I did eco for awhile but lately I’ve been using sport a lot more because.

It downshifts sooner and in traffic I can get away without out touching the brake a lot

And since I discovered auto hold. I turn off auto start stop all the time.

I actually prefer eco or normal on the freeway as sport will downshift too easily when I just want to speed up a little

But sport downhill steep grade on the freeway is great.

When you come to a stop if auto hold is on you don't have to sit with your foot on the brakes. It's situationaly good and bad. Once stopped the truck will noyt idel forward if you need to creep it.

Yup. I've driven dozens of different newer rentals (both high and low end) and this is one of the better auto-hold systems in my experience. It seamlessly kicks in once you reach a full stop: you can let off the brake and it holds you there, the slightest tap of the throttle will release it and allow you to creep forward like any other automatic transmission. When trying to park in very close quarters or in very slow stop-and-go traffic it can be a tad annoying, but definitely not enough for me to turn it off.

I also absolutely hate the Drive Mode dial. When I saw pictures before buying my truck, I figured it clicked or felt tactile to some extent. I can't get used to it - sometimes I turn it twice and it jumps 2 spots forward in modes, sometimes it only does 1, sometimes it doesnt switch modes at all, and sometimes it lags so I turn it a third time only for it to be at the fourth drive mode.

It just feels clunky and awkward so I don't even bother to use it.

Not a fan of the dial either. I hate the shift dial on my wife's Edge. At least they have a stick for shifting on the Ranger.
