Black tips are a must have for me, the only chrome on the truck (after someone pointed out the lug nuts lol). Can easily paint those though - matte black or black chrome would be great.

As for the sound, I am satisfied with the actual sound levels and valve settings, want to retain that no matter what - sometimes I want to be quiet, sometimes I want to be loud. I do often wonder if 4 settings is overkill. I used to have my R mode set at Baja exhaust but recently changed it to sport - probably mostly because I liked seeing my music song title in the drivers screen instead of the "Off-Road use only" warning.

I saw the video of the guys trying to emulate the GT-R exhaust in the Raptor and I don't think they ever quite got there. It sounded better than stock (subjective) but I don't think it sounded anything like a GT-R. While both vehicles are TT V6, the engines are vastly different and it would take an engineering feat to make the Ford RR sound like the GT-R. My favorite exhaust note is my 5.0l 93 cobra with long tubes, no cats, and Flowmaster mufflers. It is a very distinct sound that no other v8 replicates, even when using the same components. Others come close, but not the same, and that's probably the best we could hope for, honestly. And I love the sound of the GT-R; probably the best sounding V6, IMHO.

you guys aren't kidding on the sound of the old ford small block v8. i had straight exhaust from the manifold to the glasspaks and out the back on my 65 mustang coupe and it turned heads everywhere.

i do like the sound of the bmw inline 6 cylinders with straight pipes too, though. my 89 325i sounded like an f1 car when autocrossing it
