Is there a manual high beam headlight switch? It looks like the stalk on the left side of the steering wheel might be the high beam switch. Push out for high, pull in for low beam.

I've watched many youtube reviews of the 2024 Ranger, but I don't recall anyone mentioning it.

I really like having a manual on/off high beam switch. The lack of one is one of the things about the Colorado and Canyon that put me off.

Yep that’s where it’s at on my 2018 and 2022 Fords - standard

That's good to know, thanks.

I found a picture of it in the online 2024 Ranger manual. On the other hand, the manual also has a section on how to operate the moonroof. It does say "if equipped", but since a moonroof is not an option for 2024, it made me question whether the manual could be trusted.

The lack of a manual high beam switch on the 2023 and 2024 Colorado and Canyon really turned me off. I can't imagine having to use the infotainment screen to turn on/off my high beams. Seems unsafe.

Isn't that only for the Auto-Highbeam control? I thought they all still have the ability to override for manual high beams, and flash for GTFOMW, with the turn signal stalk.

No, sadly. All of the headlight controls for the 2023 and newer midsize GM trucks is in the Infotainment screen. There are no manual controls for headlights, no stalks or buttons. You can turn them on and off or set them to auto or select high or low beam in the Infotainment screen only. I guess that was a cost-saving measure. I can't think of any other reason for eliminating the manual controls.

Ah, ok. I'm wrong. You can still flash high beam at someone on the GM trucks using the stalk on the left. But you still have to go to the infotainment screen to turn off/on/auto.

So not as bad as I thought, but still not great.

Both my vehicles auto HB only activate above 20 or 30mph but I can still manually turn on, and flash, HB with the stalk. I use the manual override often so not having it on the stalk would be very close to a dealbreaker for me.
