(2024 STX 4x4) I just put in new tail light assemblies (wife hit a dumpster and cracked my factory assembly) and everything works - brake lights, backup lights, and turn signal lights all work properly.

My problem is that while the turn signal lights signal at the proper speed, the signal on my dash goes at 2X speed, as if the signal lights were burnt out or disconnected. This is definitely not the case, they are connected and work great when I use my turn signal, but for whatever reason, even though the lights are signaling, the dash/computer seems to think they are out.

What would possibly cause the lights themselves to work just fine, but the signal on my dash to not seem to think so??

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Check to be sure the screws around the housing are all making contact. IDK but one of them may have a ground ring on it so that the screw would contact that ring and also ground the housing to the body...Just a guess that you lost the ground.

When installed my Lasfit led lamps, one side turn signal would behave like that. I took it out and rotated it 180 degrees and put it back in. I haven’t had an issue since then.

so maybe try that?

I don’t recall the screws contacting any metal so I don’t think the screws act as grounds.

Thanks, I had to replace the entire assembly, not just the lamps. But that's great info if I ever have that issue in the future.

I think this might be the issue. There is a (I believe) grounding wire that has nothing to connect to on the new assemblies. I'll have to see if I can find a contact point for them. Thanks!

Check if all lights are functioning, typically the hyperblink is a light-out indicator, so you may need to add resistors or use Forscan to disable the bulb out indicator.

Thanks. That's the confusing thing, all lights work perfectly and as one would normally expect.

That contact point might just be to one of the screws that hold the fixture in the housing. Check to see if there is a metal contact point on the backside of one of the light housing screw holes, then sandwich that wire between the housing at that screw hole that has a metal tab and the body, that will make your ground contact between the fixture and body.

Just add anti-errors resistors.

im suggesting you try reseating the bulbs. Even if it is a new assembly.

Hi!
When swapping halogen bulbs for LEDs on car, you usually need a Load Resistor to simulate the power draw of the old bulb. Without it, your car’s computer may think the bulb is blown, causing "hyper-flashing" (fast blinking) or "bulb out" dashboard errors.

The specific resistor you need depends on which lights you are replacing.

Bye!

OP: Were you able to get this issue sorted out? I have the same issue with my 25' Ranger Raptor from day one of delivery. Left signal.

That's a warranty issue.
