Wondering if anyone has wired up an ARB twin compressor or knows a thing or two about wiring/electrical in these new rangers. I just purchased an ARB twin compressor and plan to mount it under the hood in my 24 XLT and running power to the trucks battery. Im not concerned about running power from the compressor to the battery but I am scratching my head trying to determine how to wire in the on/off switch. I plan on using the switch that comes in the ARB kit as an on/off switch for the compressor and looking at the ARB wiring diagram, i believe switches 1 & 2 are for front and rear lockers which i wont be using. So I would be using the isolation switch wiring setup. But then it says red-yellow wire goes to ignition and blue-white to dash illumination and this is where I get confused. Where exactly do those go to in the truck? And do I need to run those wires or can i just run power and ground to the switch? Thank you for the help, electrical is certainly not my strong suit.

Here is how mine was successfully wired into my bronco. Three pics. 2 of the arb switch and 1 of the compressor wires. The colors line up across the connector. This should do it for you.

Also. Life gets way easier if you don’t bring the switch into the cab. And honestly you don’t need to. Whenever you’re using the compressor the hood will be open. So just put the switch under the hood. No firewall to deal with. Etc.

Thanks! I really appreciate the reply and photos. I have no reason to want the switch to light up when vehicle is on or key in the ignition. This will keep it much more simple and should get the job done. Did you need to add any more fuses at all or did you just use the ones that came with the kit? Thanks

Right before the switch the red wire has a 10a in line fuse. I’d recommend you do the same as under hood is wet and muddy.

So you basically just have the black and purple wires run between the small compressor plug and on/off switch, then a separate red wire from the positive battery terminal to the switch? Do I have that right?

Nope. The small compressor plug has three wires, black red and purple. Your switch never goes to the battery. The 10awg and 8awg wires go to the battery. Your switch is just a relay IMO.
