How to clean area between tailgate and bed?

Yes, the original poster was asking about the area between the tailgate and the rear bed.

I miss-read it and thought of the area between the cab and the front bed.

I am sorry I messed up the post. I remember postings talking about the padding that was in between the cab and the front bed and remember the problems I had keeping that area clean on our 2019 Ford Ranger. That padding is still being used on our 2025 Ford Ranger and I miss-read the post thinking that someone else was having a question about keeping that area clean and free of leaves etc.

It wasn't a waste of a post though. I might try your method. Leaves getting in there are a real pain....

As I mentioned before, if the original poster wants to get that area clean between the tailgate and the back end of the bed, try removing the tailgate. It is not hard to do. And you can also lubricate the rubber covers that are for the tailgate ends that the tailgate pivots on.

I don't get it lol. I can reach my hand fine between the tailgate and bed. And it's not dirty?

Not to get off topic or take away from the original post, but is anyone else's plastic bumper portion warped like mine?

It bows in the center and is actually bending the license plate even haha
