This is with the seat back in the NORMAL position, not lowered. I haven’t tested that method yet.

I ordered two long adjustable ones, the RR model does also fit my wife’s 2022 Acura RDX.

Shown is a 24 gallon (medium) Action-Packer, about $40 online. Without the extender, the only way to strap it is by threading the belt under the lid, trapping it by the latch. Not so secure, and it is really REALLY awkward to get to the buckle.

The extender allows for proper strap routing and VERY easy access to the new buckle. in fact it is now secured in three directions instead of two.

Clip the two sections together and wrap it up neatly and it will store in a small spot until you need it.

This is the version I got, make sure you specify the correct details!

Also, be sure to put something over the seat and door trim to protect them; my RR has a canvas dog “hammock”. This is fine for short term transport, but I would not recommend it as a long term solution, it might eventually damage the seat foam. And two of these Action-Packers will fit with room to spare in between them.

Isn't that what the bed is for?

That is a lame response. How about these possibilities?

No bed cover or topper.
Hi risk theft area.
Inclement weather or heavy dust.
Bed filled with other stuff.
Cargo needs to be climate controlled (musical instrument)
Valuable items in bin. (The “Camping” one shown doesn’t have pots and pans, it is actually my bugout box with a takedown rifle, first aid, survival gear and other $tuff.)

Nobody will force you to do this mod if you don’t want to ;) You could always build a seat delete platform with aircraft tie down rails, that would be my first choice, but I have to leave the darn seat installed (wife’s demand). The last thing on my list for you to think about:

Personal choice.

Has anyone come across a seat belt extender for the middle seat? The one with the notch in it?

I've had to haul stuff inside the rear cab where this would've been helpful. I've been meaning to experiment. I had a TacomaWorld rear MOLLE panel in my gen2, and made a carpet covered board that fit the rear gap. Was great for cargo and 2 GSPs.

No space behind the seat, but I've been meaning to eyeball the seat bottom up config and see if there's a better bulk cargo solution and strategic spots to add lashing points.

Anybody know of behind seat MOLLE panels for the RR? I've got a pouch hanging off each restraint hook for the usual straps, socket extender, 3/4 deep socket, etc.

Not meaning to hijack the thread too much, but a gee whiz - a Harbor Freight torque wrench in clam shell fits perfectly above the jack.

The same source as above offers the middle seat option (as opposed to “window seat”.

Well, I know the dropdown boxes are still there, but they don't appear to actually sell it for the middle.
