You might be surprised. The door sticker usually varies quite a bit for each specific vehicle. Even little options can make a difference.

My XL 4x4 lists payload at 1,661 lbs. I imagine this is due to the added base weight of the four-wheel drive system.

Yeah, I have the XLT with the 2.7L (that reduces by about 150 lbs) and mine is 1400 exactly. Most XLTs with the 2.3L are mid 1500s. I wanted over 1500 but the 2.7L killed that dream.

It's in the mid 1500s. I didn't know the exact numbers.
