I know a lot of us whose trucks were built in January / February have rust underneath on the driveline frame and suspension. Has anyone have stains on their glass and plastic (bed rail cops) ? Mine is really bad the dealer did a good job on delivery and re washed it again it’s still there. I have washed it and tried some mild chemicals but I still have the stains it’s like hard water. Any ideas of a chemical that will help remove this?

I'd be requesting that every piece be replaced!! No way in hell should a brand new vehicle be delivered like that, mine was built 3-12 & delivered 4-19 & has no such issues thankfully. Ford should be ashamed of themselves for letting something like that get to the customer, make them replace all of it!!

The chrome is easy to fix. I would use '0000' steel wool. It is very fine and should not scratch. I have used it on glass and chrome on my cars without any scratches. But definitely, give a small test area to be sure and no need to press very hard. Again, '0000' steel wool. The fewer number of '0's the more abrasive it becomes.

Mix 1 part regular white vinegar with 1 part distilled water (soft water is good too). It's better not to use regular tap water which contains minerals. Apply the vinegar/water solution with a spray bottle on to the affected paint finish. Allow mixture to work for up to 10 minutes.

Good afternoon. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN and dealer info so I can look into this staining concern on my end? Thank you.

How does it work on the plastic?
Works on any surface to dissolve minerals/contaminants that have embedded/stained a surface on the vehicle. If it doesn’t work, it’s something else. Possibly a petroleum product that your truck was hit with.

The mixed solution is your best first step.

I'm concerned about many of these same issues as my truck continues to rot in a parking lot in Detroit since Jan, 12th.
One of the worst things for a vehicle is to just sit in the elements and not be driven.
If getting these trucks on quality holds to customers isn't a priority, or the quality is this bad that it takes 5 months or more to resolve why don't you just rebuild the units and when you get around to fixing them make then available for sale?

Dealing with a delay like this when no one is getting them is one thing. Dealing with a delay like this when other ppl who made orders 8 months after you and already have there vehicles isn't.

I happen to own 2 Ranger raptors and the one that has the issues is the one that has been sitting on Detroit for months. The other one is leaps and bounds better with respect to delivery condition. If I didn’t need both vehicles I would of rejected the white one that was sitting
