Besides the anticipated 2.7 engine release, does any one know what job 2 changes there might be?

I’m hoping Ford allows the bedside step as an option for STX in the US. Apparently they offer it for Canada already.

Why would there be anything but the 2.7l. They just started delivering job 1 after a strike and a quality hold. I expect no changes.

I wouldn’t anticipate anything huge, but generally Ford makes some small tweaks from Job 1 to 2. Those tweaks may or may not impact some buyers and whether they need to find a Job 1 already built or order a Job 2.

For me personally, I’m anxiously waiting to hear if they’ll add the option for the bedside step to the STX trim. They already offer it in Canada, but not the US. I’m hoping since the take rate so far has only been about 25%, if they had more planned/allocated for a higher percentage take rate on that option, then they’ll open it up to all trims. That’s literally the reason I haven’t purchased yet. I really want the bedside step.

I think you'll be wtg for a 25 model or later. Only change we've seen coming is the 2.7l.

I'm sure you could add them to your STX after purchase because probably just bolt on option. I avoided that option because probably will collect salt in winter and rot away anyways. Plus figured a knee would end up denting sheet metal.

I asked a dealer (albeit one that tried to tell me the Ranger on their lot had the 2.7), and they said it couldn’t be added. I would love for that to be proven otherwise. I recall hearing it is built into the frame somehow which is why it can hold 250 lbs or whatever the number is. Salt is not a worry in FL thankfully.

Know where I can find the Long McArthur video where they talk about Job 2 order guide being released on Monday. I tried looking on Youtube but no luck.

As soon as I get my truck, they'll add rear vents, sunroof, grab handles, and extra cup holders from ROW spec.
Sunroof? It is currently listed in the owner's manual, so I'm guessing they may offer it on a future job or for 2025 possibly.
The custom shop is adding a sunroof on their red ranger raptor they ordered (In-production 4/25 not delivered yet) to prepare for SEMA in Vegas. I'd like them to add one to mine, but said I'd wait to see how theirs turns out.
They will have my truck for 3 days next week, one of which they are using for doing detailed digital scans used for modeling aftermarket concepts.

Let us know how your work turns out.

My bad... I meant that Ford will add all of those things to the future year models after I get my truck, meaning that I will miss out on those items. By "they" I meant Ford. That's just the kinda luck I have when buying cars. The problem with being an early adopter. I'm certainly not going to be adding all of those things to my truck, although if some of them are easy to source and swap, I might consider it.

I re-read the original post and it doesn't read good. I could have done better explaining it. I can barely speak one language. I'll edit the post so it reads mo better.

No worries. After reading it again and your explanation, it makes perfect sense now.
Future models will probably offer some things we can't get now.
