Someone on this forum had mentioned that anything over 70mph drops the mpg
I can not say if it is true or false.
I tested 70, 75, and 80. At 70mph I can probably manage 18+, however, Id be holding back traffic at that point. 80mph gives me a 16+ average. So 75mph it is for me. Keeping up with traffic and not pushing too hard.

Heading into a headwind for hours can really mess with the range estimate. My last trip had me pulling into my scheduled stop with about 4-5 miles left. That was fun.

During the break in period I saw 18.8 over like 200 miles. But that was on backroads and was no more than 65. I have another entry of 19.2... but I don't recall the details of that one.

  • Manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Program issued
    • Program #25L02 TRANSMISSION CONTROL ASSEMBLY REIMBURSEMENT

Anyone know what this is? I dont think I got any notifications on this.
Refers to the 2012-2016 Ford Focus or a 2011-2016 Ford Fiesta equipped with a PowerShift Transmission In which you have paid for repairs related to the Transmission Control Assembly.
The repairs must have been performed on or before April 7, 2020. Strange it would show on a Ranger we have the 10R60, those transmissions were 6-7 speeds dual clutch and not related! My guess is just more of the AI interpretation of things, so many times wrong as rain with the sun shinning!

Conventional knowledge with any vehicle says this:
Your vehicle will really like speeds between 55-65. That’s the “sweet spot” and where you will get the best fuel economy. Obviously stopping and starting hurts this (city driving). I have even seen 67-68 mph get decent enough gas mileage. It’s in that first zone that I have seen the highest fuel economy on any vehicle in the past. When I used to have a 2005 sedan, I once saw 36-37 mpg going 60 down the highway.

Not even apples to oranges with the engines. Different tires too. Nothing to call my dealership about.

Well it appears this is in the Raptor pages. It was on the initial login screen so it doesn’t say what pages. Just now realized that
