keyless unlock doors, how to get other doors to open

Not sure the Ford Ranger will do it, but on my VW, when you place your hand in the handle, the driver's door unlocks, quickly removing and re-inserting the hand then unlocks the other three doors. I want to remain at only the driver's door opens, for safety's sake, but the option to unlock with someone on the other side, without having to either hit the fob (twice) or opening the door.

I'm still amazed by the magic door handle. I've never tried to grab it twice, before.

If I'd been in charge of engineering the truck, it wouldn't have those fancy handles. That wouldn't even have occurred to me. You'd just be unlocking them with the fob or a hidden key hole.

i have never had a vehicle that you could just put your hand in the handle and the doors unlock so thats crazy to me. i know my ranger doesn't do it though

I have it set for global unlock, but I'm kind of surprised it only works with the front door handles. Rear handles do not lock or unlock the vehicle. Many times I've gone to grab something out of the back, grabbed the door handle, sighed, and then opened the front door to open the rear. Nothing's perfect.

Yes it’s a miracle they open to me at least. Intelligent access is one of the better features of the lariat.

We have rav4 and it only unlocks the driver door.

Rear handles don’t do anything, like the Ranger.

I could understand wanting only one door to unlock but I like it the way it is, personally.

Your driving a truck you should be able to kick $&@

The only time I take the key fob out is to roll all the windows down before I get to the truck when it is hot.
