Took my first road trip in my new Lariat 4X2 today. Drove around 275 miles at mostly + or - 70 MPH with about 10% of the miles in town. I averaged 25.5 MPG for this trip which I felt was quite good. The truck only had 175 miles or so before the trip so it isn't broken in yet. A little more road noise than my previous 2015 F150. I tried many of the new features and was a little frustrated with the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control. The speed limit signs in this area show one speed limit for general traffic and then another limit for large trucks. The truck speed limit signs were always about 100 yds past the regular speed limit signs and the system always read and responded to both signs. So if the limit was 65 MPH and the truck limit was 60 MPH, the Ranger set the speed to 65 and then it immediately saw the truck limit sign and went down to 60 MPH and then stayed on that speed. Not a big deal but it was a little frustrating. This feature is not something that I will likely use very often but I wanted to see how it worked. Anyone else have thoughts of some of the new technology in our Rangers?

Took a 450 mile round trip last Monday and got around 22 mpg. In Florida we drive much faster. You can be doing 80-85 and people are sailing by you ?

I’ve been steadily breaking in my XLT with FX4 so I can tow with it soon. So far averaging 24.6 mpg (according the car) with mostly country road (35-50 mph) driving and some highway and city. I’m happy. Great truck.

I had an Outback XT before this and often averaged less mpg than the Ranger!
