Hello Everyone,

My only ragert about buying an XLT is the absence of leather seats. Cloth is tougher to clean and I feel like the cloth in the ranger seata gets dirty if you look at it wrong. Has anyone installed or recommend a set of Leather seat covers that have a nice fit and look decent?

IIRC, you aren't missing much with the OEM, so called 'leather' seats. It's just leather trimmed on the front seats.

Katzkin leather covers but be prepared for the price shocker. The fact that the website says 'ask for quote' tells you the are costly, $1600 to $2000 depending on style.

I have Cordura seat covers from Shear Comfort. Not leather, but the same material luggage is made from. Waterproof and easy to clean, and about $300.

Ya, not only were they $2400, but they spammed me endlessly every day after I got the quote. Even after I unsubscribed, they continued to send me spam emails. I'd never buy from them.

Definitely Katzkin or Alea Leather. I went the Katzkin route on my 2025 Velocity Blue XLT and couldn't be happier. It looks way better than the leather seats in the Lariat.

Are the Katzkins seat covers or a total-re-upholstery job?

Technically they are covers but you'd never tell unless you see the zipper in the back edge of the seat. Trust me if you can fork out the $2K for premium looking leather seats you can't go wrong. I figured it would add at least that in resale value.

Oh really? I thought they replaced the originals. Do they just go over like regular covers?

Sorry, yes they have to take off the original cloth to install these. They are ready to go and custom fitted to your particular seats though. I would still recommend getting them professionally installed.

Oh ok that makes more sense, about what I was expecting.

Personally, I think leather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I've had the leather seats before and didn't care for them. The leather tends to absorb perspiration and acquire an odor. The cloth seats ventilate much better and don't stink.

I live in TX and agree with you for the most part. Because of that I had the Degreez cooling & heating system installed with the Katzkin leather. It was worth it to me but may not be necessary for everyone depending upon where you live.

Yu can get full OEM leather for around 1200 bucks here in Florida. We did it all the time for customers. why would you pay more>? and that is real leather. I think a good quality cover is all you need, not leather.
