What PCM recall? Only one I've heard about is for 2026 is for the 2012–2018 Ford Focus.

I know in this thread they are talking about Raptors, but when I called a shop to set up my annual inspection, they told me I also have a recall that requires an update to the PCM (power control module). I haven’t received the recall letter from ford yet, but apparently the recall came up for my VIN. FYI- I have a 2.7. I don’t know if the 2.3 is affected.

Plug your VIN in here to see if there is a recall and what it's for.

Ah, that one. That was a software OTA update for a lot of different year and model Fords, including 24 & 25 Rangers, PCM-26.10.0. That came out back in March, mine was updated OTA before I even heard about it. If you check you'll probably find it was done without you even noticing, Livernois usually only ever gets excited when Ford want to physically replace the entire PCM module. Not sure, but I think some Raptors had bad PCMs that had to be physically replaced a while back.

huh. I just checked my vin and all I have is the seat bolts recall open. I don’t know why the shop said I had a PCM recall open when I scheduled the inspection last week. I know there was a Body control module recall that was resolved OTA a couple months ago, but I don’t think I ever got a letter from ford about a PCM recall being resolved OTA. I even clarified with the shop that they saw an open “P” cm recall and weren’t talking about the “B” cm recall.
