I have a 2025 2.7. And am wanting to tune it. Just don’t know which route to go. And propane cons with each. It’s my daily driver plus occasionally town with it. Iv looked into the fordprocal, Jb4, and 5 star tunes. Any others out there. And what’s the pros and cons to them.
Thanks
Alex.

I did the Ford Procal tune a few weeks ago.
Truck had maybe 700 miles at time of install with maybe 30 miles since. I do not drive much since i work from home lol.
Initial thoughts is it shifts alot better.
I really can not tell if it has anymore grunt though honestly. A bit disappointed but maybe it needs more miles on it to fully tell.
I do like the warranty though. That was a huge selling point. I feel like its a better driving experience just im not feeling any seat of the pants difference in my 2.7

I'm getting mine tuned right now with the Ford Performance Calibration so I'll be able to give you my initial thoughts on it in a bit.

Nice truck! I haven't purchased a tune for my 2.7l, I don't think I will while the truck is under warranty. But as someone who has had tunes on different trucks (previous 2.3l ranger, 6.7l cummins, 6.0l powerstroke) I will say a tune makes a HUGE difference in power for modern vehicles, especially turbocharged. Its probably best HP/$ money can buy. No, you won't be walking away from a ZR1, but you'll likely be very quick. Especially if you get an e85 blend tune. Downsides, without the FPT you'll lose warranty coverage if they find the tune is the cause of a problem. And running hot tunes and WOT all the time will degrade the engine.
