On a side note gents, do you find the USB port under the dash (where the wireless charger "would" be on mine) doesn't provide good strong charging power? Am I doing it wrong?

Not sure what you mean by stronger power. Most USB plugs on a Ford provide about 7-15 watts of charging power. A C plug will provide about 15 watts of charging power. You 110v plug in your might provide up to 65w of charging power. is this what your asking. If so I dont think your doing any thing wrong. You can’t make it go faster than it was designed to do. I’m no electrician so others might have a more accurate answer.

You're not alone. I had exactly the same issue. The USB port under the dash doesn't seem to provide enough power for higher-draw accessories. My Tackform MagSafe charger wouldn't work reliably from that port, so I ended up installing a dedicated USB power outlet. Since then, it's been working flawlessly.

How did you do the dedicated power install? Like you, I'm looking for more USB-C power to support magsafe 2

I tapped into the fuse box next to the steering wheel using an add-a-fuse. For the ground, I just used one of the factory bolts behind the wireless charger panel.

Since I already had everything apart, I also installed a dual USB-C and one USB-A power outlet. It turned out really clean. Here's a photo in case it helps anyone thinking of doing the same.
