So I've played with FORSCAN several years ago with an F150 I had and I just ordered an OBDLink EX to kill the seatbelt menu on my new Ranger. What are some other common or popular changes folks are making on their 2024 Rangers in FORSCAN?

Is there much we can change yet on the Rangers? I've also messed around with my 2021 F-150 in forscan.

I can't get it to write the IPC module. I've written others (BdyCM mainly), but that one always throws a "service interrupted" error. Just tried the latest version last night. Still same error.

I haven’t ever done FORSCAN. I also don’t have the proper equipment to do it. However I would love to have these items done.

Disable autostop/start permanently
Lane change blinks to 5
Seatbelt minder off
Gear selection always on without having to
push the + or - on gear selector
If possible have the center screen and dash
screen return to the screen it was on prior
to receiving a phone call without having
to take 5 steps.
I am sure there would be some others as I scrolled through.

If anyone in central Illinois area has the ability and equipment and willingness to help me achieve some of these please message me. TIA.

I have set my fogs to be on with high beams and I turned off the DRL wink when the turn signal is on.

Im also playing around with proximity unlock when you walk up to the truck.

Is there a way to see the list of changes that can be made to each module without having to be plugged into the vehicle? As the Forscan programmers get more data, the "easy" modes for some modules have grown quite lengthy, but it's very inconvenient to be sitting in the truck with the ignition on while you scroll through the options.

Only if we start a spreadsheet, which is what some of us are trying to do.

I started one by painfully taking screen grabs and typing them in, basically every item whether it applies to Ranger or not. I wasn't going to post this until done, but here ya go: ForScan-2024Ranger.xlsx Still very much a work in progress, and you can ignore the coloring for now. This is probably overkill....But that's how I roll.

It'll be a few weeks before I do the rest as I'm going on vacation.... Then at some point we can collaborate as to the code values and what actually works.

So this truck has an option in the settings under vehicle for “quiet start”.
Am I the only one that would like an option for a loud start?
Would be cool to be able to cold start the truck with the exhaust in “Baja”.
Maybe this is something that could be figured out in Forscan?

So I just installed the updated forscan and still didn't have the ipc module show up for me. I'm wondering if it's my obd connector limiting what I can see 🤔

Those things can be buggy so I think it's an issue with your connector. I was able to see and change without issue on Windows PC.

What connector are you using? Maybe I'll pick up a new one.

So I got my OBDLink EX cable today and am able to see all modules and codes, but it won't let me write any. Gives me a 'service interrupted' error every time I try. Any suggestions?

I got the OBDLink EX, seems to work fine. I had an older one laying around that didn't work, so cable makes a difference.

Do you have the ignition in ACC mode or is it off by any chance?
