Are the included fasteners required or can you reuse the existing fasteners? A forum member here has a great price on the Ford brand Performance guards, but no fasteners.

all of the fasteners were included and I just used those as I assumed they would be longer than the factory ones and I was worried the factory ones would be short. I honestly never even bothered to compare the included ones to the factory ones to verify. I have all of the factory ones saved and can compare later if you'd like. They even tossed in a small phillips screwdriver that was of no use to me as the one fastener that required an actual tool was a torx head screw.

I’ve got the OEM flaps I put on mine a couple months after purchasing the truck. My truck sees dirt and gravel roads every day. Must have with big impact on an otherwise stock truck.

I'm not thrilled with all of the aftermarket plastic fasteners, as I mentioned in an earlier post above, I lost 3 of 4 flaps within 2 weeks (during Florida rainy season) due to the plastic fasteners failing. I ended up going with WeatherTech flaps and their metal no-drill fasteners.

I'm actually surprised considering the flaps I purchased have a tab on the bottom that a threaded screw goes through to hold it in place and they also supply some retainer clips to use if you wanted. I guess worst case I can try replacing the push pin rivets with better quality ones down the road.

Yay. I’m a form-follows-function kind of guy and I like the paint to stay where it’s supposed to be.
