Need advice for 2025 Ranger Lariat mud flaps

I live on a dirt road and need to add mud flaps to my 2025 Ranger Lariat. I don't plan to do any off roading, so I just need something to prevent stone chipping and cut down on mud splashing. I looked at Muslogy (how is that name pronounced?), Ford OEM and Weathertech. I can't find any dimensions published for any of these.

The Muslogy ($50) has good reviews as far as installation and price goes, but they might not be flexible and large enough as the others.

Ford OEM ($170) are expensive. Not sure about flexibility and size.

Weathertech ($80) modest price and good reputation. Again, not sure about size.

I'm looking for something that is easy to install and has larger size for greater protection. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have a 2024 Lariat FX4 and I installed the “free” Ford mud flaps. When I bought my Ranger I earned Ford Points that was more than enough to purchase the mud flaps with no money. The install isn’t difficult but beware of getting the wrong install directions. Check your Ford Pass app to find out how many points you’ve earned.

Well compared to making them, they're all a ripoff. When I got mine a few years ago, they were about the same price as most others...had more coverage area...easy to install and kept my driveway stones off of my truck.

If you're really suggesting that a flat piece of plastic takes the same effort as nicely molded ones, well not sure you can grasp the concept.

I installed the Weathertech on my Lariat and really impressed with the quality and fit. Wider and longer than the Ford molded splash guards. Fronts also hide the short piece of box steel that is attached to the frame.

I'm just saying if you're going to compare the cost to buy them (flat or molded) to making your own (for 1/3 of the price), then they're ALL overpriced. At the end of the day, it's about keeping mud off, right?

The "nicely molded ones" don't offer any more utility then the flat ones....actually, they probably offer less utility because most of them don't cover as much area, and they're stiff.

But they're prettier, so they're not a ripoff?? Is that it?

They're all made from super cheap materials and insanely marked up at the end of the day. That goes without saying.

Personally, I bought my truck to use it. So I want functionality. I didn't buy the truck so I could shine my "nicely molded" mudflaps with armor all.

I went with the Rokblokz front, rear, and midship flaps. I live down a gravel road and was constantly hearing the "ting ting ting" of the slinging rocks the tires picked up when I got to the black top and picked up speed. Not much anymore. Huge difference.

My driveway is asphalt millings....mostly solid but lots of stones. Hearing that ting ting sound on my new truck makes me wanna cry! haha.

I'm on the Rokblokz "waiting list" and just ordered some Husky liners...not cheap, but not crazy expensive. They'll be better than what I have now!

I ended up buying the Ford OEM mud flaps. I used my Ford Pass points to cover most of the cost plus got the 20% off Ford was offering. Total out of pocket cost was $16. They took about an hour to put on. Some of the original plastic screws were stubborn, but most came right out. There is one Torx screw on the rear fenders to remove. They look good, seem to provide enough coverage and are flexible.

I think it was either T15 or T20.

I wanted more of the rally/big flap look because it's what I run on my Golf R daily and I like the look/durability. When I was looking for my 24 XLT last year there weren't many options in general and nothing in the rally style for the non-Raptors.

I ended up ordering a set from RallyFlapz in the UK which was about the price of Rok Blokz/RallyArmor after the shipping (at the time). They were huge and I ended up cutting an inch off the outside and I had to get a bit creative on the front mounts because the RoW trucks don't have our extra crash bars.

I like how it looks and it's done well for keeping debris to a minimum
