If you looking for a cover try Bison Covers. They Canadian and free shipping. I got the hard one for $600 installed. I a hour away from them so let them install it.

I have no problem with them so far. Will have to wait and see for winter. I don't do alot of winter driving other than back and forth to work and that's like 30km.

Congratulations! I'm waiting on a delivery date. I ordered the Ford rolling cover. I've seen a powered version on YouTube but it was not available for order from Ford. If it were, that would have been my choice. Enjoy and let us know what you think during the first 90 days.

Very nice truck; congratulations!

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I just ordered the fas-top tonneau and soft top combo. I obviously can't say how I like it so far, but I like the idea (at least) of having both mounted to the truck all the time, easily being able to use either one, or being able to remove and store one or the other easily if I want.

As for rims, I'm with the person who said they didn't like black rims, but whatever makes you happy with your truck sounds like a great answer to me. I guess my hangup is that I grew up when having a black wheel meant you lost a hub cap on your cheap ass steel wheel. Come to think of it, chrome was big back then too, so c'est la vie. Anyway, there's a post on these forums of a lariat owner who didn't like their rims so they had theirs powder coated and the photos of the painted rims looked pretty nice. So that's an option. I'm thinking of doing the same with my lariat wheels and having them powder coated to match the metallic gray of the lariat trim pieces, but I don't want to go too dark, so I'm not sure what I'll do.

Enjoy your truck!

Nice truck! Bummer you can't get it for a while. I have a Truxedo hard roll up tonneau and it's pretty good so far.

I don't like the Lariat wheels myself, how they look or the fact that they are 18". I'd switch to bronze wheels on that color.
New to this All Terrain tire stuff and what AT tires are best. Are you saying you would drop down from 18 to 17 for the truck...if so why? Sorry I have been a SUV guy during my family and working days and it was all pretty simple, all seasons during summer and fall and switch to Winter tires Nov-March. So many suggestions on tire types/brand and rim sizes

I can't speak for others, obviously, but I'll tell you why I go with smaller rims for my winter tires. Taller tires (more sidewall) have a softer ride because they absorb more bumps and shocks than shorter tires with less sidewall do. This is at the expense of cornering performance, but in the winter I don't care about that. Around here the roads get pretty terrible and I've had major damage to cars from hitting potholes (bent rims, delaminated tires, blown struts, etc). So my winter tires are usually 1" less diameter than the factory wheels, with taller tires so the diameter and circumference of the winter tire and factory tire are about the same. With our rangers, the xlt comes with 17" and the lariat with 18" so clearly either will work; just pick the right tire size for you. And as for size, you might have more options if you are open to having a 17" rim because not all brands make a lot of size options for their winter tires in 18".

For off road and snow performance, dropping to 17 gives you a taller sidewall and the ability to air down more. Probably won’t matter much if it’s not going off road though.

Ordered my first truck, ordered in middle of August , a Hot Pepper Red 2.7 Lariat FX4. Dealership notified me today that it has arrived. I just left town for work and won't be able to pick it up for another 2-3 weeks. Only thing I did not order with it was a Torneau cover....any suggestions on a cover, hard soft..etc. Still undecided if i like the rims and tires currently on the Ranger or switch them out for all black tire and rim, like that are on the ranger next to mine... Thoughts anyone?

Nice truck. I’ve had mine on order since Sept 27th… White XLT/FX4 with the 2.7… already ordered the tonneau cover as well. Ford matched a Leer promo a while ago and I bought the Ford branded VR1WZ-99501A42-E Tonneau Cover - Hard, Folding, 5.0 Bed. Requires no drain tubes which is what I wanted. Reviews look good but I can’t give you a real life review just yet lol. Still don’t have the build date for my truck… patiently waiting, likely a ā€˜25 build as I think Ford’s last build day is Dec 20th…
