I‘ve been running an E40 mix with my goosetune on my 24 raptor for the past few months. I was mixing fuel in 6 gallon jugs and it quickly got old. Finally pulled the trigger and installed the Nostrum ESSIM Ethanol Content Analyer. So much more convenient to pump the fuel into the tank and read the percent on the phone app.
Install was very simple. The plastic drain over the PCM and the insulation and metal bracket over the HPFP had to be removed. The sensor gets mounted above the PCM and clips to the firewall. The fuel lines to the sensor connect into the low pressure side of the HPFP. Wiring runs along the firewall to drivers side fuse box.
The only issue I had was the sound of the HPFP was amplified in the cab. I thought it was because the HPFP insulation had to be removed, but it turned out to be the sensor mount. The vibration of the pump was transferred to firewall and into the cab. Super annoying. I installed a foam pad between the sensor and bracket and the sound in the cab was eliminated!
I’m very pleased with the product. Highly recommend E40 in these trucks, the performance is significant over pump 93.
